Actor Song Joong-ki focuses on his main job and “Hopeless” promotion in Korea while his wife is raising their son in Rome
Song Joong-ki returned to Korea holding his pet dog Nala on September 19th and is staying in Korea to promote his new film “Hopeless”. After attending the press conference for “Hopeless” on September 22nd, the actor had an interview with the media on the 25th and will continue doing various promotional activities.
During the interview, Song Joong-ki did not hesitate to express affection for his wife Katy, and his son. Regarding the rumors surrounding his wife, the actor revealed that he was very frustrated then smiled and said, “Thanks to my wife, I was able to calm my anger”, adding “My personality became brighter and more positive”.
Song Joong-ki also mentioned his son, saying “Every time I fed the baby milk, I wondered if I had really become a father. Rather than saying that I had a change of mind, I would say I have a new mindset. I think I should be a good person and a father that my son can be proud of”.
Song Joong-ki, who has been raising his son for 100 days since his birth, shared, “I’m a novice father and I’m helping my wife. I feel so happy and proud that we are raising the kid together”, adding “It’s interesting to see the baby sleep a lot”.
The actor will continue “Hopeless” promotion by attending the Busan International Film Festival (BIFF), which will begin on October 4th. He will greet the audience through Actors House, which includes an open talk related to “Hopeless”. In addition, he will join the stage greeting together with “Hopeless” actors Hong Xa-bin and Kim Hyung-seo.
Receiving a question about when he would return to Rome with his wife and son, Song Joong-ki replied, “I haven’t decided yet. For now, I want to focus on promoting ‘Hopeless’ and BIFF”, adding “If the movie does well, I want to go as late as possible”.
Song Joong-ki, who faced a turning point in life after getting married and having a child, is still very dedicated to his acting career and balancing his work and personal life well. In this regard, the actor said, “After my son was born, I thought I should work even harder”. He is expected to show a wider acting spectrum and a new transformation through “Hopeless”.
“Hopeless” is a noir film about a boy, who wants to escape from the hellish reality, meeting the middle boss of a local gang and joining the world of crime. Impressed by the script, Song Joong-ki decided to take on the second role in the cast without guarantee.
The movie will be released on October 11th.
