Son Seok-gu Mentions His Habit Of Looking At Netizens’ Reactions

Actor Son Seok-gu expressed his honest thoughts about reading netizens’ comments and reviews about his work

Ahead of the release of his new movie “Troll Factory”, Son Seok-gu had an interview with Wikitree at a cafe in Sogyeok-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul on March 22nd.

“Troll Factory” depicts the story of a journalist named Lim Sang-jin, who writes articles about a large in an honest way, facing the allegation of manipulating online public opinion due to an anonymous informant. In the drama, Son Seok-gu takes on the role of journalist Lim Sang-jin, who tries to turn the tables after finding out the manipulation related to his articles.

Son Seok-gu recently appeared on the YouTube content “Zzanbro” and drew attention when he mentioned ranking No.1 among the top celebrities voted by gay men. The actor shared, “That was too good to pass because the gay guys are on top of trends”

In this regard, Wikitree reporter asked Son Seok-gu if he read netizens’ comments frequently. In response, the actor said, “I do look at comments. If you observe the comments while promoting a work, you can see how people define your character in the work. That’s why I tend to read comments to interpret the project that I made”.

When asked if he is easily affected by the comments, Son Seok-gu shared, “For example, if the comments say, ‘You should act like this, you should act like that’ in a professional way, they may affect me somehow. But for general opinions, I’m not affected by them. I’ll be like, ‘So that’s how they feel’”.

Meanwhile, “Troll Factory will premiere in theaters on March 27th.
