SM Denied NCT’s Johnny & Haechan’s Prostitution Rumors from Japan

Rumors about NCT’s Johnny & Haechan engaging in prostitution and drugs in Japan have been refuted by SM Entertainment. 

Late night on June 4, SM Entertainment released an official statement regarding the prostitution and drugs use rumors targeting NCT’s Johnny & Haechan, which emerged on the same day and originated from Japan. 

Below is the full statement: 

“Hello, this is SM Entertainment.

Currently, shocking and provocative rumors about Johnny and Haechan involving prostitution and drugs are being recklessly spread and reproduced online. Upon verification, these rumors are completely untrue and constitute a criminal act that severely damages the artists’ reputations.

Furthermore, unfounded rumors and malicious slander targeting our artists, including NCT and Kim Hee-chul, continue to spread indiscriminately.

We have already gathered sufficient evidence on numerous posts related to these matters. We will take legal action against the perpetrators without leniency or settlement, regardless of their nationality.

Please be aware that any act of posting malicious content even at this moment can be subject to legal punishment.

Thank you.”

On the other hand, Super Junior’s Heechul, who was also mentioned in the rumor, also denied it himself.
