Shin Seulgi is eventually debuting as an actress.
Shin Seulgi, who gained recognition through Netflix’s dating reality show “Single’s Inferno 2” released last December, has signed an exclusive contract with Big Smile Entertainment. She has chosen TVING’s original series ‘Pyramid Game’ as her debut drama in the entertainment industry.
TVING’s ‘Pyramid Game’ is based on a psychological thriller webtoon of the same name. It tells the story of a high school student who must escape bullying to become a sniper and end the game in class 2-5 of Baekyeon High School, where monthly rankings are determined by voting.
In the drama, Shin Seulgi will play the role of Seo Doa, the class president of class 2-5 at Baekyeon High School, who holds the top rank in the school. Her presence is expected to enrich the story even further. Shin Seulgi’s synchronization with the original webtoon’s character has especially raised anticipation.
In an interview, Shin Seulgi said, “I am grateful for the overwhelming love I received through ‘Single’s Inferno 2.’ I will work hard to prepare as an actress. If you continue to support and watch over me, I will definitely repay you with a good performance.”
TVING’s original series ‘Pyramid Game’ is scheduled to be released next year.
