“Revenant” has become the talk of the town after only two episodes.

The drama made history by garnering such an attraction after two days of airing; it also achieved a rating of 10% — the highest for a weekend miniseries in Korea.

“Revenant” is a horror, thriller, mystery drama about a 25-year-old girl named Goo San Young (Kim Tae Ri) who is possessed by a devil. Folklore professor Yeom Hae Sang (Oh Jung Se) is the only one who can see the evil spirit overtaking her. The two are on a pursuit to find the truth behind the mysterious deaths of five bodies.

“Revenant” is an entirely different color compared to other romantic-comedy dramas that aired recently, such as “King the Land” or “See You in My 19th Life.” The drama spooks viewers first with the pale and lifeless expressions of the actors. It further haunts the audience with the overall terrifying story and suspenseful elements.

For this drama, Kim Tae Ri makes a complete transformation that sets San Young in sharp contrast with the bright and energized Na Hee Do from “Twenty-Five, Twenty-One.” Oh Jung Se also drives the plot forward and completes his role immaculately.
