How were Kim Ye-won’s drastic transformation and close chemistry with Hwang Jung-min in “Narco-Saints”? 

Actress Kim Ye-won gave viewers a fresh surprise through the Netflix series “Narco-Saints”.

Narco-Saints”, released on Sep 9th, is a drama about a civilian, who was falsely accused of being a drug lord in Suriname, a South American country, accepting a secret mission by the NIS. Since its release on Sep 9th, the series has been on the rise, achieving first place in countries such as Korea, Hong Kong, Singapore, and Vietnam.

Kim Ye-won played the role of the Wife in the story and showed a close chemistry with Jeon Yo-hwan (played by Hwang Jung-min), a drug godfather disguised as a pastor of the Korean Church.

The Wife was paid to help Jeon Yo-hwan’s fraudulent behavior, and she showed a strong presence as she was addicted to drugs as well. The way she melted her acting into the characteristic of her role was clearly different from her previous acting.

Her unusual transformation is being evaluated as a successful one. Kim Ye-won skillfully stole the scene in the early part of “Narco-Saints” by playing the character of the Wife, which allowed her to show various aspects in a short time.

Kim Ye-won plans to continue her acting activities, including the release of the film “Oh My Kiss,” in which she stars as the main role, following “Narco-Saints.”
