Wendy, a member of Red Velvet, is stepping down from her position as an MC on SBS Power FM’s “Wendy’s Youngstreet”.
According to a coverage of Donga.com, Wendy has informed the production team of “Wendy’s Youngstreet” about her decision to leave due to considering her various schedules, and is preparing for her farewell with the listeners.
Although Wendy’s decision to step down is sudden, considering it is not the radio show’s restructuring period, it is unavoidable as she cannot compromise the program in consideration of her future plans.
On the other hand, Wendy was appointed as the DJ for “Wendy’s Youngstreet” on July 12, 2021, and has been with listeners for about two years. However, it is expected that she will not be able to host the special broadcast for the second anniversary.
In particular, Wendy will step down after the broadcast on July 2nd, which is just ten days before her second anniversary. Instead, the female idol is expected to hold a special time with listeners during the final broadcast.
So far, the next DJ that will take over Wendy’s post is yet to be determined. With approximately one month of time available, the production team is actively searching for her replacement.
