Sakurai Miu claimed to have been a part of the debut lineup of NewJeans and asserted, “We trained together.”
However, netizens doubt the credibility of her claim as NewJeans completed its member selection process under the guidance of Min Hee Jin at the end of 2019. The group started their training in 2020. In the same year, Sakurai Miu was actively involved in the Nizi Project, followed by her participation in “Girls Planet 999.” Given these facts, it becomes challenging to reconcile how Sakurai Miu could have been a part of NewJeans’ debut lineup.
