NewJeans and IVE Overthrown, Who Claims the Top Spot in April’s Girl Group Brand Reputation Rankings?

The ranking of girl group brand reputation for April has been revealed.

The Korean Enterprise Reputation Research Institute announced on the 9th of April the results of their big data analysis of girl group brand reputation. The top spot was taken by Blackpink.

The rankings were determined by analyzing participation, media, communication, and community indices to create a brand reputation score based on 55,611,462 pieces of big data collected between the 9th of last month and the 9th of this month. Compared to last month’s data of 57,873,378, there was a decrease of 3.91%.

Blackpink came in first place with a brand reputation score of 8,126,951, with a participation index of 223,788, media index of 1,999,661, communication index of 1,621,284, and community index of 4,282,218. Compared to last month’s score of 5,069,149, this was an increase of 60.32%.

NewJeans, who came in second place, had a brand reputation score of 5,428,500, with a participation index of 630,632, media index of 1,479,989, communication index of 886,879, and community index of 2,439,999. Compared to last month’s score of 5,362,902, this was an increase of 1.22%.

IVE, who came in third place, had a brand reputation score of 3,282,997, with a participation index of 384,336, media index of 991,965, communication index of 621,033, and community index of 1,285,662. Compared to last month’s score of 2,704,894, this was an increase of 21.37%.

Director Koo Chang-hwan of the Korean Enterprise Reputation Research Institute stated, “When analyzing the girl group brand category, we found that the number of big data collected decreased by 3.91% compared to last month’s 57,873,378 pieces. In detailed analysis, brand consumption decreased by 11.95%, brand issues decreased by 1.11%, brand communication decreased by 20.97%, and brand expansion increased by 3.48%.”

Furthermore, in the link analysis of Blackpink’s brand, which ranked first in the girl group brand reputation rankings for April 2023, “record, release, and launch” were ranked high, and in the keyword analysis, “Jisoo, flower, and game” were ranked high. The positivity ratio of Blackpink’s brand was analyzed to be 93.27%. In a detailed analysis of Blackpink’s brand big data, brand consumption decreased by 11.95%, brand issues decreased by 1.11%, brand communication decreased by 20.97%, and brand expansion increased by 3.48%.
