Mysterious similarities nobody can explain behind G-Dragon´s, Tae Yeon´s and IU’s hit songs

These similarities make the fans believe that some kind of “unseen force” does exist.

Whether you are a person who believes in coincidences or not, you have to admit there are things that are unexplainable. In the KPOP world, behind the super hits exist a lot mysteries that sometimes even the owner of the hits cannot explain.

IU: The hits’ titles usually contain three syllables

In an SBS’s radio show called “Old school”, IU revealed: “The staffs and I believe the song’s name has to have three syllables. All of my three-syllable-songs became hits, that’s why my next song will also follow the rule.” It isn´t nonsense when IU believes in such a thing.

IU’s “secret” to success is to name the songs with three syllables.
It is undeniable that ever since her debut, all of her successful songs have three syllables in the title. Nagging (잔소리), Every End Of The Day (하루 끝), Good Day (좋은 날), and You & I (너랑 나) are a few examples.

G-Dragon: There are always some problems before the day the albums are released.

Considered to be one of the influential in K-showbiz, the leader of Big Bang has captured the hearts of fans many years ago. His albums always sweep the charts inside and outside of Korea, and it is natural for all the title songs to become hits. But to achieve this success, he has to encounter so many up-and-downs.

Some bad things consistently happen before the group or a member release a new album.
In a past interview, G-Dragon shared his thoughts: “Either if it’s Big Bang or a member’s solo album, some bad luck always appears before the album’s releasing day.” And a similar thing really happened when T.O.P got himself in a marijuana scandal the day before G-Dragon had his solo comeback. But luckily the album was still a bomb, and the title song “Untitled” was considered one of the biggest hits of 2017.

Tae Yeon: All the songs she hates become hits, and vice versa

The captain of SNSD used to answer in an interview back in 2014 that any song she hates becomes a hit afterwards. When they first debuted, SNSD was not nearly as famous as they are now. But everything changed when they released the national hit “Gee”, the single took Korea by storm and continuously topped the album sale charts.

Tae Yeon’s reveal shocked the fan.
Tae Yeon said she hated the song so much she cried and refused to sing it. Not just “Gee”, every song Tae Yeon hated became a hit, such as “Hoot” and “Lion Heart”.

She hated the song so much but it was a big success.
On the other hand, the songs the idol actually likes does not usually do well on music charts. The title song “Why” of her second mini solo album, a song she favoured, could not satisfy the general public. This happened again with SNSD’s 10th album’s title song “All night”.
SNSD, holiday,
In the opposite, the song Tae Yeon liked, “Holiday”, was not favourably welcomed.
Even though the fans and even the idols might feel “shivered” discovering these coincidences, these celebrities are very successful stars and have gained themselves a strong fanbase with their talent.
