MBC’s ‘Show! Champion’ Pays Tribute to the Late Moonbin with Tearful Remembrance

MBC's 'Show! Champion', where the late Moonbin worked as an MC, made an emotional tribute video to honor him.

On the broadcast of MBC’s ‘Show! Champion’ on April 26th, a video paying tribute to ASTRO’s Moonbin, who recently passed away, was revealed.

Moonbin’s younger sister and MC of the show, Billlie’s Moon Sua, was absent from the show, so Billlie’s Tsuki and Woo!ah!’s Nana appeared as MCs wearing black suits.

Nana said, “Last week, the sad news was conveyed in the music industry. Moonbin, who shone on stage as an idol and was the former MC of ‘Show! Champion,’ has become a star in the sky,” and expressed her condolences.

She continued, “Your warm words changed our daily lives. We hope to bring happiness and comfort to everyone like you did.”

Tsuki also expressed her condolences, saying, “I will remember all the moments that Moonbin sunbaenim gave us as a gift.”

Especially, Nana showed a teary-eyed and emotional appearance while continuing her speech. Tsuki continued the program with a calm expression.

The tribute video that was subsequently released contained the past moments of Moonbin, who used to be active as an MC on ‘Show! Champion.’

Through subtitles, ‘Show! Champion’ released a tribute message that read, “There is a brilliant person who came to us, shining under the bright moonlight. We laughed a lot thanks to you. We received passion and comfort as a gift from your heartfelt stage. The Wednesdays we spent with you were moments we dreamed of in a fairy tale. We will never forget all the warm moments we spent with you. Moonbin, who will always be in our hearts. We will remember for a very long time.”

Moonbin was found dead in his home in Gangnam-gu, Seoul on April 19th at 8:10 pm KST.

Moonbin debuted in the entertainment industry as a child actor in KBS 2TV’s drama ‘Boys Over Flowers’ in 2009. Then, in 2016, he debuted as a member of ASTRO.

Moonbin’s funeral was held privately on April 22nd, attended only by ASTRO members and Moonbin’s family members.
