In particular, Jacob Lewis’s car stopped when he was driving home from the concert, so he got out of the car and attempted to push it onto the shoulder of the road. Meanwhile, his sister remained in the car to control it.

As Lewis was pushing the car, 34-year-old Alan Bryant Hayes, who was drunk driving, rammed into Lewis and killed the 20-year-old man at the scene. Alan then ran away, even ditching his car to escape. However, he was eventually arrested and charged with a 3rd-offense felony.

Despite the tragic death, the victim’s father said his son’s final moments showed who he was.

According to the father’s interview with USA Today, Jacob Lewis’s last act was to push his sister to safety. Meanwhile, Jacob’s mother described him as an “amazing young man” who loved Pokémon, video games and music.

On the other hand, Jacob’s little sister, April, shared a video she took with her brother at the Taylor Swift concert a few hours ago and recalled their last moments together. She also expressed her great pain to lose a brother, as well as gratitude for Taylor Swift for making their last memories beautiful.

Meanwhile, after Jacob Lewis’s death, Taylor Swift’s fans raised more than 100,000 USD for the bereaved family.
