Actress Joo Hyun-young revealed the story behind the interview with soccer star Son Heung-min.
On KBS Cool FM’s “Park Myung-soo’s Radio Show”, which aired on Oct 24th, Joo Hyun-young appeared as a guest and showed off her wit.
On this day, Joo Hyun-young explained the process of joining “SNL Korea”, “I filmed a web drama. The director (of the web drama at that time) was SNL Korea’s assistant director. He suggested that I take part in the audition. I didn’t have a company back then. I went to the audition on its last day.”
Joo Hyun-young met various stars such as Lee Byung-hun and Son Heung-min while playing the role of the novice intern reporter “Reporter Joo” on Coupang Play’s original comedy-variety show “SNL Korea”.
In this regard, she recalled, “When I met Lee Byung-hun, I was completely frozen because it was the first time I joined the crew.”
As for Son Heung-min, she remembered, “I met many people while playing the role of a reporter, and he was the most difficult among them. His aura was enormous and relaxed, so I stuttered and made mistakes. He joked and told me not to tremble.”
Meanwhile, Joo Hyun-young will appear in tvN’s new Monday-Tuesday drama “Call My Agent!”, which will premiere at 10:30 PM on Nov 7th.
