“Moving” writer “50 billion won production budget burden? I did everything I wanted”

Writer Kang Full of “Moving” expressed a sense of burden from working on a major project but also revealed that he did everything he wanted.

On August 28th, we met webtoon artist Kang Full, who was in charge of the script for Disney+’s original series “Moving“, at a cafe in Sogyeok-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul.

Based on the eponymous webtoon by Kang Full, “Moving” is a supernatural drama that deals with three teenage high school students and their parents who discover their super powers.

“Moving” is known to have a production budget of over 50 billion won. Regarding this, Kang Full confessed, “I don’t know the exact production budget. My biggest concern was that I had many things I wanted to do, but I wondered if the production budget would cover it all. Director Park In Je told me to just write. He said, ‘The production budget isn’t a matter for the writer to worry about.’ I was very grateful. So, I did everything I wanted.”

He continued, “There were discussions that if ‘Moving’ failed, Disney+ would fail as well, but I wasn’t affected by it. Disney+ was the most perfect facilitator.”

He also commented on the release method of “Moving”, “I really like the way ‘Moving’ was released. 7 episodes were released in the first week. From the time I wrote the story, I thought episodes 8~9 were one episode, and 10~11 were another episode. I did it with the feeling of releasing one movie every week.
