Actress Moon Geun-young expressed her feelings after her maternal grandmother’s passing

On the morning of Oct 12th, Moon Geun-young wrote on her Instagram, “Thank you so much for being considerate to make sure my grandmother wasn’t lonely on her way.”

She added, “Since you left in peace, please don’t worry. I sincerely hope you won’t suffer anymore in mind or body. I’m truly thankful with all my heart.”

In addition, Moon Geun-young posted a poem that appears to be from her niece. The poem includes the lines, “Like the sky with a hole, like nothing can pass over that little hole in the sky, it’s familiar but now it can’t be seen, like a puzzle needs all the pieces to be perfect, like a puzzle where every small piece is precious…” The poem’s touching content likely moved many readers.

Previously, Moon Geun-young was scheduled to attend a GV (Gathering with the audience) for the 20th-anniversary screening of the film “A Tale of Two Sisters” at the 28th Busan International Film Festival on Oct 8th.

However, she had to cancel her appearance after her grandmother’s passing. Moon Geun-young’s grandmother was known to have been her manager during her early years and had a close relationship with her.
