Lee Young-ji Shows Her Spirit Ahead Of Solo Concert Despite Criticism, “You Won’t Regret It”

Rapper Lee Young-ji will hold her solo concert in Seoul at Blue Square Mastercard Hall in Seoul on February 17th and 18th, drawing keen attention from music fans.

Lee Young-ji rose to stardom in 2019 after participating in “High School Rapper 3” and becoming the first female winner in the history of Korean rap programs thanks to her excellent skills and stage control. Later in 2022, she even took the No.1 place in “Show Me The Money 11”.

In the meantime, Lee Young-ji also made her face known as a talented entertainer by showing pleasant talks and trendy MZ charms as the host of the web entertainment show “No Prepare”.

Building her music career step by step, Lee Young-ji raised fans’ expectations when delivering the news of her solo concert. However, she still received negative reactions from music fans.

Some people pointed out that Lee Young-ji needed more personal musical achievements to hold a solo concert even though they acknowledged her musicality, popularity, and networks in the entertainment industry. As Lee Young-ji has yet to release any album even though she has featured in many songs, some people are worried that she might not be able to fill the tracklist of a concert.

Some poured negative comments, such as, “Isn’t it a talk concert?”, “Is she going to do a standing comedy?”, “She doesn’t have many songs, how can she hold a concert?”, “Shouldn’t it be a fanmeeting instead of a concert?”, “She suddenly holds a concert without releasing any albums?”, “What songs will she use to fill the concert setlist?”, etc.

On the other hand, fans tried to defend Lee Young-ji, saying “She’s a good rapper enough to hold a concert”, “I’m already looking forward to the concert with her name only, “If she added featuring songs and contest songs to the setlist, it is possible for her to have a whole concert”, etc.

Meanwhile, Lee Young-ji expressed her extraordinary determination on January 7th, saying “I’ll make sure you don’t regret this experience so come around and have fun with me. Ticket sales date is…”
