According to JTBC’s report of Lee Sun-kyun’s statement in the recent police investigation on December 26th, the actor admitted that he unknowingly inhaled drugs through a straw thinking it was a sleeping pill.
Lee Sun-kyun reportedly admitted that he met Kim, the female director of the entertainment establishment, four out of the five times Kim mentioned in her statement about the actor’s drug use. However, he insisted that he took sleeping pills only once among their meetings.
Lee Sun-kyun consistently denied drug allegations in the previous three police investigations. He strongly claimed that he had no intention of taking drugs and misunderstood the drugs given by Kim as sleeping pills.
However, Kim countered, “I saw Lee Sun-kyun inhale ketamine powder using a straw”, adding “When I mentioned ketamine, the actor expressed curiosity, so I got it for him and he took it”.
In the end, Lee Sun-kyun submitted a statement to the Incheon Police Agency’s Drug Crime Investigation Unit through his legal representative to complain of unfairness and requested a lie detector test.
