Producer Ahn Sung-il To Attend First Police Investigation Following FIFTY FIFTY’s disbandment

The police will carry out the first investigation on The Givers’s CEO Ahn Sung-il and Director Baek today

CEO Ahn Sung-il and Director Baek of The Givers will undergo an investigation on various charges at the Gangnam Police Station for two days, October 24th and 25th.

Ahn and Baek were accused of obstructing the business of FIFTY FIFTY’s agency Attrakt, embezzlement, and forgery of private documents.

Earlier in mid-2023, Attrakt pointed out that The Givers’s CEO Ahn Sung-il was the external force trying to steal FIFTY FIFTY members from them. Ahn Sung-il is the producer of “Cupid” and The Givers signed with Attrakt as a service company.

FIFTY FIFTY debuted in November last year. As the song “Cupid”, which was released in February this year, entered the US Billboard ‘HOT 100’, the group created a craze in the global music market and became the K-pop girl group to enter Billboard in the shortest time after their debut.

While “Cupid” was still a famous hit song, the dispute between FIFTY FIFTY and Attrakt arose as the members applied for an injunction to suspend their exclusive contracts with the agency. Recently, Keena returned to Attrakt and revealed that CEO Ahn Sung-il was behind their conflict.

On October 23rd, Attrakt announced that they decided to terminate their exclusive contracts with the remaining three members of FIFTY FIFTY, Saena, Sio and Aran.

Meanwhile, Attrakt also filed a lawsuit against CEO Ahn Sung-il to claim 1 billion won in compensation for damage.
