Lee Bo-young’s New Drama Gets Favorable Reviews From Episode 1
Starring Lee Bo-young, JTBC’s “Hide” has just released one episode but already gained a lot of compliments from viewers
Following “Doctor Slump”, which ended quietly with poor ratings, JTBC released a new drama called “Hide”. This project marks Lee Bo-young’s comeback on the small screen after the successful drama “Agency” last year.
On the evening of March 23rd, “Hide” aired its first episode and recorded a good result of 4% even in the middle of the weekend drama competition with MBC’s “Wonderful World”, tvN’s “Queen of Tears” and SBS’s “Flex X Cop”. Starting off well, “Hide” is expected to help JTBC recover its sluggish rating performance in the future.
“Hide” begins with a scene that showcases the excellent acting skills of Lee Bo-young, who plays Na Moon-young. In the first episode, Na Moon-young’s perfect life is suddenly ruined due to the mysterious disappearance of her husband Cha Sung-jae (Lee Moo-saeng).
As she cannot contact her husband, Na Moon-young suffers a series of financial problems. The next day, she decides to report to the police. Episode 1 ends with Cha Sung-jae’s car being found in a serious accident. Not understanding what’s happening, Na Moon-young is called to the scene to confirm the deceased’s identity.
With only the first episode, “Hide” already lets viewers feel all kinds of emotions and also stimulates curiosity about the life of the female lead Na Moon-young. Many people praised the highly immersive narratives of the story as well as Lee Bo-young’s impressive acting, especially in the ending scene of episode 1 when Moon Na-young recognized the dead body was her husband. In addition, the actress’s visual and styling also shine in this drama.
