iKon recently confirmed to be in the next episode of JBTC’s “Idol Room” as a full group.
iKon, who have just successfully come back with a new mini-album NEW KIDS: CONTINUE will appear on JTBC’s “Idol Room” which airs at 6:30 P.M. on Friday.
iKon reported showed off their extraordinary chemistry with MC Jung Hyun Don and Defconn when they came to the show in their “Love Scenario” promotion. This time after releasing their new song “Killing Me,” iKon have chosen “Idol Room” to be the group’s first variety show appearance as a whole and are highly expected for their upcoming chemistry with the two MCs.
In the first half of the year, iKon’s “Love Scenario” has reportedly gained huge popularity among kindergarteners and elementary school students, giving the group a new modifier “Kids’ President.” Accordingly, expectations are high as “Kids’ president verification fact check” is scheduled for this broadcasting.
Right after their comeback, iKon topped the iTunes album chart in 24 countries with NEW KIDS: CONTINUE. In addition, they have been doing very well in East Asia as well for being number one on Japan iTunes album chart’s overall chart and K-pop album chart, and China’s Kugou K-pop music chart.
At the same time, the music video for “Killing Me” has surpassed 10 million views in just three days since it was released on YouTube, drawing keen attention from fans around the world.
Furthermore, the “Killing me” challenge has become a trend on social networking sites, both in Korea and abroad. For the “Killing Me” challenge, people share videos of everyday messages such as “I like it so much it’s killing me,” “It’s so hot it’s killing me” and “I’m so excited it’s killing me” along with iKon‘s music video.
Following this trend, iKon members are planning to hold their first concert of “iKON 2018 CONTINUE TOUR” at Olympic Park Gymnastics Stadium in Seoul on August 18th and have a special meeting with local fans.
