To boost future trainees’ confidence and draw in more talents, JYP artists such as DAY6, TWICE, Stray Kids, ITZY, Xdinary Heroes, and NMIXX created a series of tapes as encouraging messages to the auditionees. They hoped that young people with talents can take the audition as a summer vacation challenge.

“JYP THE NEXT WAVE” is the second face-to-face audition held in 2023, following the “17th Official Annual Audition” in January. A casting official said, “We look forward to the participation of talented teenagers who will lead the next generation of JYP. The audition finalists will be given the opportunity to experience a systematic training system,” building anticipation.

Applications for the audition will open until 23:59 on August 3 on the JYP Audition’s official website. Any participant born before 2013 and after 2005 can apply regardless of nationality and gender. Participants can choose one of the five areas they are most confident in, including vocal, rap, dance, acting, and modeling.
