Jay Park’s Shocking Announcement: Official Retirement after New Album and Final Tour Next Year 

Jay Park has announced his plan to retire.

On June 3rd, Jay Park appeared as a guest on the YouTube drinking show “No Prepare” hosted by Lee Young Ji.

Jay Park said, “My new album was supposed to come out last year, but it was postponed because of ‘Show Me the Money’.” He revealed, “I will release an album next year and do my final concert tour.”

Lee Young Ji, a fan of Jay Park, was surprised and said, “Retirement threats are a new kind of threat. You shouldn’t scare us with retirement like this.“

In response, Jay Park stated, “In my heart, it’s official. I will retire someday. Rather than leaving when people think, ‘It’s time for retirement,’ I should leave when they applaud.“

He further expressed his mental anguish, “Anyway, as a celebrity and as Jay Park, there is a certain level of expectation from everyone. It’s difficult to maintain trust, continue to make efforts, and keep up the hype without losing it.” 

Finally, Jay Park said, “I’m also a human being, and I have limits. I’ve been working tirelessly for 13 years without a break, but no one has ever said to me, ‘You’ve worked hard, Jae Beom.’ After working so hard, shouldn’t I receive some form of compensation?“

Jay Park has not made any further statements after the retirement announcement on “No Prepare.”
