BLACKPINK Jisoo, in collaboration with Dior Beauty, adorned the cover of the September issue of ‘Marie Claire.’ With her beauty, Jisoo, a coveted icon for women worldwide, captivates readers’ attention through this photoshoot and showcases her distinctive charisma.
Featuring five modern and enchanting makeup looks, previously unseen, Jisoo’s looks were achieved using Dior’s iconic makeup products, including the global best-seller and no-mirror lip balm, as well as the special K-color developed upon Korea’s request, completing intense couture red lips.
In this makeup photoshoot with the theme of ‘strength and intensity,’ Jisoo added her own expression to create more refined and distinctive vibes. Jisoo explained the process of interpreting this photoshoot, “To me, strength isn’t just about appearing strong. It comes from the power to clearly show yourself. So today, during the shoot, I wanted to confidently understand myself and express that, showing my own energy.”
Reflecting on her days as a global ambassador for Dior, Jisoo shared, “I think our chemistry has improved over time. If initially there was a gap between what I expressed and what the brand wanted to showcase, and it took time to bridge that, now we understand each other’s goals and where we can synergize, so the process has become much smoother and easier.”
Continuing the interview, Jisoo talked about BLACKPINK world tour BORN PINK, which started in Seoul in October of last year. “There are always variables in any stage. Now, I face any unexpected situation with the attitude of confidently following my path.”
Lastly, regarding the increasing presence of BLACKPINK’s music in various forms and reaching more people, Jisoo emphasized, “There are quite a few people saying our music has influenced their lives. Every time I encounter that fact, it makes me think I should live well for these people.”
