Jang Dong Gun on the throne, Lee Joon Gi x Shin Se Kyung’s “Arthdal Chronicles 2” to air in September

“Arthdal Chronicles”, which drew attention with its fresh worldview and epic narrative, will return.

According to broadcasting officials on May 23rd, tvN’s Saturday-Sunday drama “Arthdal Chronicles: The Sword of Aramoon” (written by Kim Young Hyun, Park Sang Yeon/directed by Kim Kwang Sik) is scheduled to be broadcast for the first time in September. It was organized as a follow-up to “The Uncanny Counter 2”.

“Arthdal Chronicles” is a drama about the fateful stories of heroes writing different legends in the ancient land of “Arth”. “Arthdal Chronicles”, which first aired in 2019, attracted attention with its fresh worldview and epic narrative along with all-star-studded cast including Jang Dong Gun, Song Joong Ki, Kim Ji Won, Kim Ok Vin, Kim Eui Sung, Jo Sung Ha, Park Hae Joon and Park Byung Eun.

In season 1 of “Arthdal Chronicles”, actors Song Joong Ki and Kim Ji Won played male and female protagonists Eunseom and Tanya, respectively. In season 2, actors Lee Joon Gi and Shin Se Kyung will take over the baton and act as male and female protagonists.

“Arthdal Chronicles: The Sword of Aramoon” is set in the world about 8 years after Tagon (Jang Dong Gun) took the throne.

Jang Dong Gun and Kim Ok Vin, who appeared in the previous season, will play Tagon, the ruler of Arthdal, and Tae Alha, a politician of desire, respectively. Tagon’s kingdom of Arthdal and Eunseom’s Ago union are set to face an inevitable great war.

Attention is focused on what kind of story “Arthdal Chronicles: The Sword of Aramoon”, which has a bigger scale and overwhelming visuals, will captivate viewers.
