(G)I-DLE Minnie expressed her affection as a fan towards Super Junior.
In episode 356 of JTBC’s entertainment show “Knowing Bros”, which aired on Oct 29th, (G)I-DLE (Miyeon, Minnie, Soyeon, Yuqi, Shuhua) appeared as transfer students.
On this day, Kang Ho-dong mentioned (G)I-DLE’s concert in Thailand and asked Minnie, a Thai person, how she felt about the concert in Thailand. Minnie explained, “That’s right. I cried. I used to be a member of Super Junior’s fan club. I went to a lot of Super Junior’s concerts in Thailand, then I dreamed of becoming a singer. So to me, it was unbelievable to hold a concert in Thailand.”
Minnie, who confessed her love for Super Junior, was asked who she liked the most, and Minnie replied that it was Kyuhyun. Yuqi, another member of Super Junior’s fan club, said that her bias was Ryeowook without mentioning Heechul, who was at the scene. Heechul’s disappointed look made everyone burst into laughter.
Kang Ho-dong asked Minnie, a fan of Kyuhyun, to sing Kyuhyun’s song. Minnie selected “At Gwanghwamun” and sang without accompaniment in Thai version. After listening to Minnie’s song, the members admired Minnie’s excellent singing skills. Seo Jang-hoon asked, “Has Kyuhyun ever sung it in Thai?” Minnie showed her strong love for Super Junior once again by revealing, “I translated the lyrics myself.”
