Is BIGBANG’s G-Dragon indirectly denying drug allegations by liking this post?
According to the narcotics crime investigation unit of the Incheon Police Agency on October 25th, BIGBANG’s G-Dragon was booked without detention on charges of violating drug-related laws.
Early in the morning on October 26th, G-Dragon liked a fan’s Instagram post. The image in the post shows a quote that reads, “I can’t handle people anymore,” while the fan wrote in their caption, “I’ll stand with G-Dragon forever.”
In reaction to G-Dragon liking this post, fans opt to withhold judgment until further updates on his investigation. Some comments read, “If the allegations are true, then he wouldn’t have liked it,” “Let’s wait for the results,” “Let’s hope together,” and “I’ll trust him once more.”
This isn’t the first time G-Dragon has been entangled in a drug-related controversy. In 2011, he faced a prosecution investigation for allegedly smoking marijuana in a Japanese nightclub. At the time, G-Dragon received a suspended sentence.
After 12 years, G-Dragon is once again booked for drug-related charges. Fans have been suspicious of his involvement with drugs for a while, with some noting that his behavior in public sometimes bears resemblance to that of a drug addict.
