Famous Singer Gives Warning About Drugs, “If 10 Celebs Get Caught, 10,000 More Are Doing It Silently”
Boohwal band member Kim Tae-won warned people about the dangers of drugs
On November 4th, the YouTube channel “Kim Tae-won’s Class” uploaded a video titled “Kim Tae-won’s Concerns”.
At the beginning of the video, Kim Tae-won sighed and confessed, “It’s so unfortunate that only my favorite actor got caught”.
Expressing his concerns, Kim Tae-won said, “These days, young people find drugs funny. High school and middle school students are already at an age where they don’t listen to adults. Smoking cannabis while talking may be enjoyable but you’ll realize that the content of your conversations is meaningless the next day”, adding “No one can smoke only cannabis. He continued, “When a drugger feels High, they become extremely active. If they’re always that excited, they may easily get caught so they need to mix the two types to hide their abnormal behaviors when going out. That’s the problem.”
Kim Tae-won confessed, “In the mid-70s, a lot of amazing artists got caught taking drugs. Taking drugs to do art is a contradictory self-justificatory excuse. Humans are lonely. Drugs gather those who want to hide it and enjoy the loneliness together. If one person among them gets caught, they will all fall down.”
In addition, he firmly said, “If 10 celebrities get caught, you should think that there are still 10,000 people who are secretly using drugs. There’s only one way to prevent drug use”, adding “That’s the reason I grow my hair long. You can’t grow your hair if you take drugs. Drugs leave traces in your hair.”
What if one cannot quit drugs? Kim Tae-won said, “They’ll die”, adding “Drugs destroy your blood vessels. They also destroy your brain. It’s a slow process of 5 years or 10 years from now, so people think they won’t die and keep doing it. Once you’re 100% addicted, you can’t stop”
Lastly, he said, “Living a normal life may feel boring, but you can accumulate a sense of fulfillment day by day. Later, when you look back on the past, you’ll realize it. Life may be tough, but you have to live.”
Meanwhile, Kim Tae-won was booked by the police on charges of smoking cannabis in the past. He previously left a warning message on his YouTube channel community but he made a video to emphasize his opinion as the series of drug scandals in the entertainment industry is intensifying.
