“Doona!” beats “My Dearest Part 2” to top TV-OTT combined topicality rankings, Ahn Eun-jin ranks first in cast topicality category

“Doona!” topped the TV-OTT combined topicality rankings

Netflix’s original series “Doona!” rose to first place in the TV-OTT combined topicality rankings in the first week of its release.

Taking a 1.8% lead over “My Dearest Part 2”, which was in second place in terms of topicality, “Doona!” secured the top spot in terms of news, VON (Voice on Netizen) and SNS. The drama’s lead actors, Suzy and Yang Se-jong, ranked third and sixth respectively in the cast topicality category.

“Doona!” becoming No.1 marks Netflix’s fourth original drama to achieve this feat, following “Mask Girl” (Episode 1), “The Glory Part 2” (Episode 3) and “The Glory” (Episode 3).

Good Data’s CEO Won Soon-woo said, “While ‘Doona!’ may not have much higher topicality than previous Netflix No.1 works, it’s meaningful that a pure youth romance work, as opposed to crime, action or revenge genres, claimed the top spot. Ultimately, the future of OTT depends on whether they can succeed with popular genres like TV dramas.”

Second place went to MBC’s “My Dearest Part 2“, which saw a 14.2% increase in topicality scores compared to last week, with its stars Ahn Eun-jin and Namkoong Min taking first and second place in the cast topicality category for 2 consecutive weeks.

JTBC’s “Strong Girl Nam-soon” secured third place, while tvN’s “Twinkling Watermelon”, which saw its topicality increase by 21.2% to maintain its upward trend after its first broadcast, ranked fourth.

In fifth place was SBS’s “The Escape of the Seven”, while Disney+’s “The Worst of Evil” climbed two spots to sixth place compared to last week, with a 39.0% increase in topicality. This work is gaining buzz as episodes are released weekly.

Meanwhile, tvN’s “Castaway Diva” took the tenth spot on the list, showing that expectations are high among netizens ahead of its airing.
