Debuting under HYBE isn’t Easy: Phones Confiscated and Daily InBody Check

A recent video has unveiled the daily schedule of TWS – the newest boy group under HYBE and SEVENTEEN’s “little brother”.

On January 23, a video titled “Am I joining HYBE’s debut group?! Ep 1” was published on the YouTube channel MMTG.

On this day, MMTG’s host, Jaejae, visited the HYBE headquarters to experience a day as a trainee for TWS, the newest boy group to debut under HYBE. In particular, TWS is the first boy group introduced by HYBE’s subsidiary, Pledis, 9 years after SEVENTEEN.

As of the filming date, TWS was on the verge of their debut. The first task upon arrival was checking in by sharing arrival and departure photos. Regarding this, the members explained, “I think we all started by usually going to work in the morning and having the protocol team organize our schedules and give us a briefing..”

It is then revealed that the briefing included details such as InBody checks, interview practice, performance, live rehearsals, and a leader test.

Hearing about the leadership test, Jaejae jokingly replied that she had strong ambitions, and later playfully competed with TWS member Shinyu.

Next, the HYBE boy group had to write journals reflecting on areas for improvement and individual goals. Following this, they headed for an InBody check.

Afterwards, they engaged in interview practice, dance rehearsals, and various training sessions. During this time, all members had their phones confiscated.

The boys were also shown practicing facial expressions, eye contact with cameras, and how to react to scenarios they might encounter as idols. During break time, they were seen rushing to have meals.

Finally, the teaser for episode 2 was revealed, showing footage of live rehearsals, bonfires, and individual practice. It seems that to debut under HYBE, trainees must endure a challenging and intense routine.
