CUBE Entertainment terminated their contract with former (G)I-DLE member Seo Soo-jin, “The accusers of the school violence controversy were not guilty”

Former (G)I-DLE member Soo-jin (Seo Soo-jin) will leave CUBE Entertainment following her withdrawal from the group.

CUBE said in their official position released on March 5th, “Our exclusive contract with artist Seo Soo-jin has been terminated”.

The agency continued, “Regarding the controversy that broke out in February last year, our company and Seo Soo-jin had tried hard to determine its authenticity through the police investigation for a long time, but ‘no charges’ came out as the result”, adding, “We respect the results of the police investigation, and we apologize for causing concerns to so many people”.

In February last year, netizen A posted an article on an online community revealing that she used to be bullied by Soo-jin during their school days. Soo-jin strongly denied the accusation, but the controversy intensified as actress Seo Shin-ae also testified that she was also a victim of school bullying carried out by Soo-jin. Eventually, Soo-jin suspended her activities in March of the same year and withdrew from (G)I-DLE in August.
