Rumors of a love affair between Hong Kong actor Tony Leung and WSJN Cheng Xiao, who are 36 years apart, are spreading.
On August 12th (local time), Chinese media outlets, including Sina, said, “Tony Leung and Cheng Xiao are having a secret romantic relationship. Cheng Xiao even gave birth to Toney Leung’s child”.
Later, Cheng Xiao’s agency denied the rumors, saying “It’s obviously a fake news and groundless rumor that doesn’t deserve attention”, adding “Cheng Xiao is just a happy and optimistic person”. The agency also announced their plan to take legal action against the media.
Tony Leung’s side has not released any position regarding the allegation.
Born in 1962, Tony Leung made his debut in 1983 through the movie “In the Mood for Love” then continued starring in various works. He was revealed to be dating Chinese actress Carina Lau and the two got married in 2008. The couple has no children.
Carina Lau used to be kidnapped by a criminal organization in the past. At that time, Tony Leung drew attention as he expressed his sincere affection for Carina Lau, saying “No matter what happens, my love for you will never change”.
