BTS Jimin’s candid thoughts on 10th anniversary “I was depressed because it seemed like our time together had stopped”

BTS Jimin expressed his feelings on the occasion of the group’s 10th debut anniversary.

On June 13th, Jimin uploaded a long post on the fan community Weverse, saying, “Wow, it’s our 10th anniversary.”

Jimin said, “Sometimes it doesn’t feel real that I first met you at 19 and now I’m 29. I’m also an adult now. Back then, I was wondering what it would be like to celebrate the 10th anniversary. I don’t think there’s much difference.”

He confessed, “Actually, starting from last year, in the beginning, I was a little depressed because it seemed like our time together had stopped. But it wasn’t like that. We just thought of each other in our own positions, wondered what we could do now and kept trying. We’re still doing these things together.”

He continued, “I think I said that a lot. The time of 8 years is long if we say it’s long, short if we say it’s short… The time of 9 years… And so on. But the 10-year period feels different. Something firm that no one can ignore, therefore we can understand and share more. Yeah, I got this feeling. I’m happy.”

Jimin expressed his gratitude towards fans, “Supporting, loving and giving strength for no reason isn’t something anyone can do. So I can feel how happy we are. All of you, who make me feel all these things, should also feel overflowing happiness and be loved.

Meanwhile, BTS released the digital single “Take Two” on June 9th to commemorate their 10th debut anniversary. On June 17th, “BTS 10th Anniversary Festa @ Yeouido” will be held at Yeouido Hangang Park.
