BTS Suga will present a pre-release song in collaboration with IU ahead of the release of his solo album.
The pre-release track “People Pt.2 (feat. IU)” is a part of Suga’s first official solo album “D-DAY”, released under the name of Agust D. The endlessly repeated relationships between people, as well as the resulting emotions, are shown through Agust D’s sensibility. These themes are conveyed through Suga’s rap and IU’s clear tone. The duo harmonizes around the central boom bap rhythm, a 90s-style hip hop beat.
This is the second collaboration between Suga and IU. The two worked together on IU’s digital single “eight” in 2020.
Meanwhile, “D-DAY” is an album that marks the end of the Agust D trilogy, following Suga’s mixtapes “Agust D” and “D-2,” where he writes, composes, and produces all songs. It will be released on April 21st.
