Block B, a famous 3rd-generation Kpop boy group, made a surprise appearance for the 1st time in 4 years.
On December 14th, the 28th Marine Corps Military Band Regular Concert was held at the COEX Shinhan Card Atrium concert hall in Samseong-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul. Here, 7 members of Block B performed a special friendship performance as special guests.
It seems that all the members got together after 4 years in order to support the youngest member, P.O, who is serving in the Marine Corps military band.
Prior to the Block B stage, P.O, who was in charge of hosting that day, introduced, “I prepared a stage like a Christmas present. This is a stage that can only be seen at the Marine Corps military band concert. We came together for today’s performance.“
At the concert, Block B performed their hit songs “HER”, “Yesterday”, “Very Good”, and even “Shall We Dance” as an encore stage.
Block B’s last performance with the full 7-member lineup was their solo concert in January 2018. Afterwards, group activities were suspended for 4 years due to each member’s military service.
Seeing this reunion, Korean netizens could help but express their disbelief, saying, “Block B performed ‘Very Good’ in 2022? This is surreal”, “I can’t believe that this performance is possible”, “This is really insane”, “How long has it been since Block B’s last appearance as a full group?”, “Their stages felt so good, especially after such a long time”, and “Block B’s loyalty is amazing”.
After the performance, a group photo of Block B was released on P.O’s official Instagram, who added the caption, “My brothers from Block B came running for their Ji Hoon (P.O’s real name)! See you again soon, BBC (fandom name of Block B).”
Meanwhile, P.O enlisted in the Marine Corps in March and received training. In June, he was assigned to the Marine Corps Command located in Hwaseong, Gyeonggi-do, and is continuing his military life in the military band. His expected discharge date is in September next year.
