BLACKPINK Jisoo reveals third concept poster, counts down 7 days to solo debut

BLACKPINK Jisoo unveiled a new concept poster ahead of her solo debut.

On March 24th, YG Entertainment uploaded “JISOO – CONCEPT POSTER #3” on its official Instagram account. The poster revealed a mysterious and alluring image of Jisoo against a dark background with flowers covering half of her mouth. The atmospheric poster communicated a mysterious vibe through the use of red light with a patch of bright, with a lit area revealing the singer’s unrivaled visual.

Jisoo’s previously released visual films conveyed the same set of elements, including intense redness, classic elegance, and enigmatic aura. These teaser materials promise to bring out a unique color of Jisoo that is not normally seen when she is with BLACKPINK.

On the other hand, Jisoo is set to release her first solo album “[ME]” on March 31 at 1 p.m. (KST). The title song is “FLOWER” and the music video was said to have the largest production cost for a BLACKPINK MV.

Keeping up with the record-breaking streak of the previous members, “[ME]” set a new record by turning Jisoo into the K-pop female solo artist with the highest first-day pre-order sales. At the same time, “[ME]” also accumulated 950,000 pre-orders in about two weeks (as of March 20th) since the pre-order date.

Meanwhile, BLACKPINK is currently on their “BLACKPINK WORLD TOUR [BORN PINK]” attracting about 1.5 million fans to the concert. The group is also announced to be headliners for this year’s Coachella in the U.S. in April and the British Summer Time Hyde Park Festival in the U.K. in July.
