Broadcaster Hong Jin-kyung shared a story about joking with a member of boy group BIGBANG and later apologizing
On the March 7th broadcast of the web entertainment show “Hong Jin-kyung’s People Study”, BIGBANG’s Daesung appeared as a guest.
MC Hong Jin-kyung reminisced about her first encounter with BIGBANG. She recalled that when BIGBANG had just debuted, they appeared on KBS’s radio show “Hong Jin-kyung’s Music Plaza”, which she hosted, and said, “At that time, I asked them if they had girlfriends.”
She confessed, “At that time, one member got really annoyed. They kept saying ‘Geez’ and I was really embarrassed. I apologized several times. So I felt like that person had a girlfriend.”
She continued, “People who don’t have partners are calm. But there was someone who kept getting annoyed alone.”
Regarding this, Daesung commented, “That’s right. There’s no need to get annoyed when there’s nothing wrong. At that time, my older sister sent us a lot of dumplings to our dorm. That’s why I’m still ordering and eating them. Don’t we have chili-flavored dumplings for microwave oven? It’s been about 15 years.”
He smilingly added, “At that time, idol culture was a bit mysterious. But if there was nothing, it would have been just an ordinary question.”
Hong Jin-kyung reflected, “I asked the wrong question. Who asks idol members such questions?“
