The surprise was pleasant enough for Winter to feel grateful.
Recently, a video clip of aespa celebrating Winter’s birthday was spread online. The video focused on Karina and Giselle who were planning on a surprise for Winter when aespa was on the 2022 “MBC Music Festival” at the end of last month.
When it was seconds before New Year, Giselle suddenly pulled a birthday headband from under her skirt and gestured her fans to keep quiet so as not to ruin the surprise. When Karina learnt of what Giselle had prepared, she gestured Giselle to put it away.
Nonetheless, when the countdown reached zero, Giselle aimed for Winter and put the headband on her head. It is known that Winter’s birthday is on the first of January, therefore, the members prepared a surprise gift so that all could celebrate her birthday in the most meaningful way. When Winter realized what her members did for her, she showed grateful expressions.
Prior to the countdown, when asked of what she wished for New Year, Karina said, “I hope everyone is healthy and I hope to meet more fans in the new year,” and added, “Today is Winter’s birthday. Happy birthday to you.” In respsonse, Winter mouthed “thank you” to the camera.
