9 members of LOONA, except Vivi and Hyunjin, filed an injunction to terminate contracts with their agency

Another K-pop girl group is facing the crisis of a disbandment.

According to a report by JTBC Entertainment News on November 28th, 9 members of LOONA (Heejin, Haseul, Yeojin, Kim Lip, Jinsoul, Choerry, Yves, Go Won and Olivia Hye), except for Vivi and Hyunjin, recently filed an injunction against their agency Blockberry Creative to terminate their exclusive contracts.

9 members confirmed that they made this decision judging that the trust between them and the agency, which is the premise of the contract, has collapsed and that further cooperative management and entertainment activities can no longer be maintained.

In this regard, Blockberry Creative immediately denied JTBC’s report, saying “No”. However, it seems like the agency will continue to stay silent regarding this issue like how they responded to previous controversies, such as the rumor of Chuu establishing her own company.

In December last year, Chuu, who was recently expelled from LOONA, also filed an injunction against Blockberry Creative to suspend the validity of her exclusive contract. Partly winning the lawsuit, Chuu continued her group activities and freely carried out her personal schedules without restrictions from the agency.

The contract period of LOONA with Blockberry Creative is somewhat unusual since the members didn’t debut on the same day. If 9 members win the injunction, it is highly likely that LOONA would not be able to carry out group activities in the future. In other words, LOONA may disband.
