Knets criticize interfans of TXT member’s sister – Girls Planet 999 Huening Bahiyyih for rigging votes

International fans’ strategy to collect votes for Girls Planet 999 trainee Huening Bahiyyih is causing controversy. 

Girls Planet 999 has been gaining attention ever since the show’s format was announced – 99 girls from Korea, China, and Japan are competing to debut in a global idol girl group. 

When the show was broadcast by Mnet, where the controversial “Produce 101” series began, many netizens worried that the show’s format would be similar and vote manipulation would happen again. Despite many worries of netizens, the show successfully broadcast the first episodes and gained a lot of attention.

However, the show became the focus of attention when a trainee’s international fans shared pictures of the SIM cards they bought in bulk to gather votes for their favorite trainee. A netizen took screenshots and posted a couple of tweets showing that the international fandom of Huening Bahiyyih – TXT Huening Kai’s younger sister is raising money to purchase cheap sim cards to vote for her.

International netizens explained online, “Huening Bahiyyih’s international fans are raising money to buy thousands of cheap SIM cards to bring her more votes.”

The regulations state that one person can give one vote but these overseas fans are buying a lot. It’s been two weeks since the voting started, so if one person has 1000 SIM cards that can equate to 14000 votes. They are even encouraging other fans to buy these SIM cards to vote.

Huening Bahiyyih’s fandom didn’t even show any remorse, they felt proud of their vote. Huening fan’s tweet after being condemned: “Thank you for enjoying GLOBE, the Bahiyyih PH fanbase was able to rest after the continuous voting for Bahiyyih. Please support our girl until the very end!”; “Shocked tweeters, I feel like you never put so much effort and hard work into your fandom. We’re voting for who we like and aren’t wasting our time hating on other trainees.”

Korean netizens have commented very enthusiastically on this topic:

• “I hope the show will adjust the votes because they say they will be fair”
• “Why are these fans acting like this?”

Previously, in the first episodes, Bahiyyih also caused netizens to have a heated debate about her personal fancam rankings and views. Many netizens commented, Bahiyyih is really not as outstanding as other trainees and is taking advantage of her brother’s popularity. On the night of September 3, 2021, the first round of qualifying results was announced, Bahiyyih’s cell excelled in 7th place.
