The love stories in these dramas proceed faster than the viewers could expect.
Not all love stories are told in a logical timeline order. In the most recent years, Korean dramas tend to fast-forward the love process of the couples. In many series, the male and female leads fall in love with each other right after their first meeting. Some even have bed scenes in the very first episode.
“Nevertheless” is one of the K-dramas in which the love story proceeds unexpectedly fast. After only 2-3 meetings, Na Bi (Han So Hee) even dreams of a bed scene with her crush in the opening of episode 2, and this happens for real in episode 3. Since then, the whole drama literally centers around the love story of Na Bi and the bad boy Jae Eon (Song Kang).
2. A Witch’s Romance
Not only “Nevertheless”, “A Witch’s Romance” also depicts a love story in which the two main characters have a bed scene immediately after meeting each other. Only after 2 episodes, Yoon Dong Ha (Park Seo Joon) and Ban Ji Yeon (Uhm Jung Hwa) already fall in deep love and fast-forward their love process. Since both actors have been known for their excellent acting skills, their sweet chemistry successfully gained huge love from K-drama fans.
3. Temperature of Love
True to the name of the drama, Temperature of Love makes an impression on the audience with the heart-fluttering footage that portray the main couple’s passionate romance. Taking shelter from the rain outside a small store, On Jung Sun (Yang Se Jong) falls for Lee Hyun Soo (Seo Hyun Jin) and asks her out on a date shortly after they meet. The love story of screenwriter Lee Hyun Soo and young chef Jeong Sun is a roller coaster ride of emotions, happy, sad, and angry, but eventually, the ending still makes viewers satisfied.
4. My Secret Romance
My Secret Romance starts by treating the viewers to the steamy scene between Cha Jin Wook (Sung Hoon) and Lee Yoo Mi (Song Ji Eun). Not knowing each other beforehand, after only a few encounters and a one-night stand in the car, the main couple quickly fall in love in episode 2 of the drama. Despite following a common trope of a romance between a rich playboy and a love-shy girl, My Sweet Romance still successfully captures the hearts of many viewers thanks to its fun and sweet storyline.
5. Kill Me, Heal Me
Cha Do Hyun (Ji Sung) has feelings for Oh Ri Jin (Hwang Jung Eum) right from the first episode when Cha Do Hyun has the personality of Shin Se Ge. As the male lead played by Ji Sung has 7 different personalities, the couple in Kill Me, Heal Me encounters many hilarious situations. Oh Ri Jin is attracted at first sight to bad boy Shin Se Ge and so is he. As their relationship progresses, it’s Oh Ri Jin’s love that gradually helps Cha Do Hyun deal with his dissociative identity disorder.
