Yumi's Cells 2

“Yumi’s Cells”, which was released simultaneously on TVing and tvN in September last year, received hot support by portraying Yumi’s story of eating, loving, and growing with her cells in a pleasant and realistic manner. The combination of live-action scenes and 3D animation, which was attempted for the first time in Korea, was praised for not only upgrading the charm of the original webtoon but also utilizing the reality aspect. “Yumi’s Cells” was evaluated as an evolution of the drama format and ended as a successful case of a well-made live-action series. The realistic story added to the ingenious imagination of the cells’ personification and the cell village in Yumi’s head, which are in charge of controlling Yumi’s emotions, presenting different fun and empathy. As a result, expectations are high on what other changes and growth will impress the audience in season 2.

Meanwhile, the teaser poster released adds excitement to the wait for “Yumi’s Cells 2.” First, Yumi’s mature visuals, who said goodbye to her trademark bobbed hair, catch the audience’s eye. On top of that, fans are excited to see the existence of the Writer cell that has been launched along with Yumi’s prime cells. Between the center of the brave and lovely cell village, Love Cell, and the Writer cell that will develop Yumi’s dream that she has folded for a while, stood Yumi smiling brightly between the two cells that manage her dreams and love, making the audience all the more curious about the second story.

Kim Go-eun‘s trustworthy performance, which maximized the character’s charm and completed the “real-life version of Yumi,” will continue. In the 1st season, Yumi, an ordinary office worker, grew up through her dating and parting with Koo Woong (Ahn Bo-hyun), and she was encouraged by her co-worker Bobby (Jin-young) to try new things. In the second season, the story of Yumi and her cells on the border between dreams and love is expected to be depicted. Expectations are high for Yumi’s story, which will once again stimulate viewers’ empathy and excitement cells.
