Yoo Jae-suk Actually Purchased Both Land And Building Worth Up To 20 Billion Won In Full Cash

Broadcaster Yoo Jae-suk reportedly purchased real estate worth 20 billion won, not 11.6 billion won

According to the report by Chosun Ilbo after obtaining registration details from the Supreme Court’s Registration Office, Yoo Jae-suk purchased 90.3-pyeong land in Nonhyeon-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul and an 83.2-pyeong building on that land with 11.6 billion won and 82 billion won, respectively. The land cost 128.39 million won per pyeong, while the price per pyeong of the building is 98.51 million won.

It was previously revealed that he purchased the 11.6-billion-won land. However, Yoo Jae-suk actually bought the 4-story house attached to the land all at once. The house was built in 2002 with 5 floors and 11 rooms.

The One Building real estate agent commented, “If the two, the land and the building, are tied together and a new building is constructed, the overall value is likely to skyrocket as it allows access to two roads. Although it takes time to build a new building, Yoo Jae-suk seems to proceed it slowly without incurring excessive loans like other investors”.

After checking the registration documents, the media confirmed that both the land and the building had been purchased by Yoo Jae-suk in full cash.

Earlier, SPOTV reported that Yoo Jae-suk bought the land, which is near Antenna’s office building, on June 9th, the day he acquired 2699 Antenna shares (20.7%) from Kakao Entertainment, with 3 billion won.

Attention is focused on the reason Yoo Jae-suk, who normally doesn’t show interest in real estate, purchased land in Gangnam with 20 billion won in cash at once and whether it has something related to Antenna’s business.
