Yoo Jae-seok And The Cast Of “Hangout With You” Interpreted BTS’ “Butter” As A Crime Song

Yoo Jae-seok has turned the BTS hit into a crime song

In the 209th episode of MBC’s “Hangout With Yoo,” which aired on November 25, JS Entertainment threw a competition for its project groups, One Top and Joojoo Secret.

In this episode, Yoo Jae-seok asked Young K to teach the members English in an attempt to advance One Top’s activities to overseas markets. In the English listening assessment, the members had to listen to the lyrics of BTS’ “Butter” and guess its meaning.

Joo Woo-jae, who heard the song, interpreted the line “Smooth like butter” correctly. For the next line “Like a criminal undercover,” Kim Jong-min interpreted it as, “I’ll go smoothly and undercover you.” Joo Woo-jae said the word he caught, “They said ‘criminal.’”

Yoo Jae-seok summed up these members’ words and said, “Does this mean going smoothly like a butter and hitting the back of your head?” The members burst out laughing, and Yoo Jae-seok was embarrassed, saying, “Isn’t that right?”
