On May 26, BTS held a live broadcast following their appearance at the American Music Awards in Las Vegas, where they celebrated their major wins and communicated with fans worldwide.
During the livestream, the group also shared honest thoughts regarding reports of skyrocketing accommodation prices connected to their upcoming BTS World Tour “ARIRANG” concerts, scheduled for June 12 and 13 at Busan Asiad Main Stadium.
Leader RM directly addressed the issue, saying: “There have been way too many news stories about accommodation prices ahead of the Busan concerts. I really wish people wouldn’t do that.”

Member Jimin also expressed disappointment, noting that the concerts should be remembered as a joyful occasion for fans visiting the city.
RM further commented: “You have to think long-term about these things.”
Meanwhile, Suga added that Busan has recently become an increasingly popular tourist destination, while RM described the city as “hip” and “like the Miami of Korea.”
As members originally from Busan, both Jimin and Jungkook appeared especially saddened by the situation.
Jimin stated: “I really hoped people visiting Busan would leave with only good memories. Of course money matters, but this is just too much.”

Jungkook also reacted strongly, saying: “That’s enough. You shouldn’t do that.”
RM acknowledged the group’s frustration, explaining that there is little BTS can personally do to resolve the issue despite wanting to help. “Price differences between peak and off-seasons can happen, but seriously, let’s keep it reasonable.”
Recently, fans online have shared reports claiming that hotel rooms in Busan that normally cost around 50,000 KRW surged to as much as 3 million KRW during the concert period.
Some visitors also alleged that reservations made months in advance were suddenly canceled.

In response to the controversy, local authorities in Busan reportedly began monitoring excessive pricing practices. Meanwhile, the Korean Buddhist Cultural Corps announced plans to temporarily open temple stay accommodations in the Busan and Gyeongnam regions to help visitors.
Despite these efforts, many fans continue voicing frustration online over the ongoing lodging situation ahead of BTS’ highly anticipated concerts.
