On July 26, Cha Hyun Seung appeared as Sunmi‘s dancer during Waterbomb Seoul 2026, held at the Outdoor Global Stage of KINTEX in Goyang, Gyeonggi Province. His return to the stage alongside the singer drew loud cheers from the audience.
The official Waterbomb social media accounts also shared a video from the performance with the caption, “This is it! They’re reunited! Waterbomb Sunmi X Cha Hyun Seung.”
Cha Hyun Seung gained widespread attention as Sunmi’s dancer during the performances of her first solo song 24 Hours. He later expanded his career as both an actor and influencer, building public recognition through Netflix’s reality dating show Single’s Inferno Season 1 and the DramaX-Wavve original drama No Mercy.
At the height of his career, Cha Hyun Seung shocked fans in June last year when he revealed that he had been diagnosed with leukemia. After undergoing treatment for approximately six months, he announced in December 2025 that he had fully recovered from the disease.
