As excitement builds for BTS’s upcoming ARIRANG world tour concert in Busan, local universities and Buddhist temples are stepping in to help international fans find accommodation. With lodging demand expected to surge during the concert period, these institutions aim to provide safer and more affordable options for visitors traveling to the city.

On June 6, the Korea Maritime & Ocean University announced that it will temporarily operate its on-campus guesthouse for concertgoers attending BTS WORLD TOUR ‘ARIRANG’ IN BUSAN, set to take place on June 12–13 at Busan Asiad Main Stadium.

Located in Yeongdo District, Busan, the university’s Ara Hall Guesthouse will open 14 rooms, including one single room and 13 double rooms, accommodating up to 27 guests. The nightly rate is set at 50,000 KRW, offering fans a relatively affordable place to stay during the busy event period.

The initiative is part of Busan City’s “Fair Accommodation Challenge,” a public-private campaign designed to prevent illegal lodging operations and excessive price hikes during major international events and large-scale concerts. The campaign seeks to create a more reasonable and transparent accommodation environment for visitors.

Buddhist temples across Busan and the surrounding Gyeongsang region are also joining the effort. According to the Korean Buddhist Cultural Corps, temples including Beomeosa, Naewonjeongsa, Hongbeopsa, and Seonamsa in Busan, as well as Seongjusa and Daegwangsa in Changwon, Tongdosa in Yangsan, and Pyochungsa in Miryang, plan to provide temple stay facilities and unused spaces as temporary lodging during the concert dates.

Depending on the temple, accommodations may be offered free of charge or for a fee. Some locations are also expected to provide simple temple meals and cultural programs, giving overseas fans an opportunity to experience traditional Korean and Buddhist culture during their visit.

The Buddhist Cultural Corps is reportedly reviewing translation support services to make the experience more convenient for international visitors. However, guests will still be required to follow temple regulations, including check-in and check-out times and communal living guidelines, as these spaces also function as religious practice sites.

Industry observers note that BTS’s Busan concert has evolved far beyond a music event, becoming a major global cultural attraction capable of generating significant tourism demand. As a result, local communities are increasingly stepping up with creative forms of support for fans.

BTS will hold their ARIRANG world tour concert at Busan Asiad Main Stadium on June 12 and 13. The second day of the concert will coincide with the group’s 13th debut anniversary, while various related events, including the 2026 BTS Festa, are expected to take place across Busan.
