Former BIGBANG member Seungri, who was recently released from prison, is rumored to be in a relationship with influencer Yoo Hye Won.
Recently, Dispatch reported that Seungri and Yoo Hye Won were spotted together, blatantly showing affection in a hotel in Bangkok, Thailand. Previously in 2018 and 2020, there have been dating rumors of the couple, but neither side has released an official statement.
In 2019, Seungri was sentenced to one year and six months in prison for being a key figure in the “Burning Sun” scandal.
In particular, back on February 26th, 2019, allegations surfaced that Seungri had provided sexual entertainment to foreign investors, with his true character reportedly shown through the “Jung Joon Young’s chat room” scandal.
At the time, Jung Joon Young distributed illegal videos of women, and Seungri shocked the public by making inappropriate comments such as, “I plan to have some too. Do you have any other girls’ numbers?” and “That girl has amnesia. She doesn’t even remember who she was with.”
On the other hand, Yoo Hye Won and Seungri have been in the spotlight since 2018 due to dating rumors. In October 2018, a Taiwanese media outlet published photos of Yoo Hye Won and Seungri together, along with alleged “couple items”.
Afterwards,on March 11th, 2019, Seungri announced his retirement from the entertainment industry and enlisted in the military on March 9th, 2020. When Seungri enlisted, a woman and a dog were spotted in the vehicle he used, and netizens believe them to be Yoo Hye Won and her dog, further fueling love rumors.
Regarding this, Yoo Hye Won’s former agency, Saetbyul Dang Entertainment, cautiously stated, “It’s difficult to confirm (the relationship) as it is the private life of our artist.”
Seungri was later sentenced to one year and six months in prison on nine charges, including violation of the Special Act on the Punishment of Sexual Violence Crimes, habitual gambling, violation of the Foreign Exchange Transactions Act, violation of the Food Sanitation Act, embezzlement in the line of duty, and violation of the Act on the Aggravated Punishment of Specific Economic Crimes (embezzlement), alongside special assault charges.
On February 9th, Seungri, who was released from prison after serving his sentence, was reported to have enjoyed a vacation in Bangkok with Yoo Hye Won. In particular, an informant claimed that Seungri and Yoo Hye Won openly expressed their affections at a luxury hotel in Bangkok on March 5th, just one month after his release.
Meanwhile, Yoo Hye Won is active on social networking services and operates an online market.
