IVE Rei to return to activities as health condition improves

Rei, a member of girl group IVE, will be returning to group activities after taking a break due to poor health.

On May 26th, Starship Entertainment released an official statement through IVE’s official cafe regarding the current status of IVE member Rei

The full statement is as follows:

“Hello, this is Starship Entertainment.

We would like to inform you about the participation of our artist, IVE member Rei, in future activities.

Rei’s condition has significantly improved recently, and she has decided to rejoin the team and resume activities.

During our future schedules, we will closely monitor the health status of all IVE members, including Rei, and make our best efforts to take care of our artists.

We ask for your continued support for Rei. Thank you.”

Previously on April 10th, Rei only attended the photo time at IVE’s press conference for their first full-length album “I’ve IVE”, and was absent from several promotional activities due to health issues.

On the following day, IVE’s agency, Starship Entertainment, announced, “Rei has experienced abnormal symptoms such as strong heart palpitations and tightness in the chest, and she visited a hospital for consultation and examination. Based on the medical opinion that treatment and stability are necessary, after thorough discussion with medical professionals, we have decided to temporarily suspend her activities for health recovery.”

Accordingly, IVE carried out music show promotions with a five-member lineup (without Rei) for their songs “I AM” and “Kitsch”. They are now preparing for the release of their first Japanese EP, “WAVE”, on May 31st.
