While their agencies haven’t officially confirmed that they are dating, HyunA and Yong Junhyung have basically confirmed they are an item.
Amid the news of their romance, the two’s dating history has also garnered attention.
In 2018, HyunA shocked everyone by revealing her relationship with former PENTAGON member Dawn since 2016. HyunA confirmed she was dating Dawn, going against the two’s former agency, CUBE Ent, which initially denied their relationship. They then announced their departure from CUBE and re-debuted under P Nation in 2019.
Despite announcing their engagement in 2022 and gaining support from the public as a long-term couple in the industry, HyunA and Dawn revealed their breakup at the end of the same year, to the shock of many.
While her relationship with Dawn was her only publicly acknowledged romance, HyunA was the subject of dating rumors with other male idols. In 2012, when she was part of 4minute, netizens speculated about her relationship with another former HIGHLIGHT (then BEAST) member, Hyunseung, her partner in Troublemaker. Despite the rumors, neither side publicly addressed this relationship.
Yong Junhyung’s past dating life has been quite open. In 2011, rumors circulated about his relationship with the late Goo Hara. After being exposed by Dispatch, they became the first idol couple to publicly announce their romance. However, their busy schedules led to a split in 2013.
Following his relationship with Goo Hara, Junhyung’s current involvement with HyunA is the first time his dating life has surfaced publicly.
