The area near the recruit training center is busy ahead of BTS Jin’s enlistment.
On Dec 13th, Jin will enter the 5th Infantry Division’s recruit training center in Yeoncheon, Gyeonggi-do and is expected to receive his marine battle colors after completing 5 weeks of basic military training.
Ahead of Jin’s enlistment this morning, crowds of reporters and fans are gathering near the main entrance of the recruit training center. Around the site, banners with the phrase “Welcome BTS Kim Seok Jin and all soldiers to the army” can be found everywhere.
From early in the morning, the all-source situation room and emergency medical center, which involve the police, military, fire department and local government, began to operate, showing thorough preparations for possible safety accidents.
An official from the all-source situation room told Xports News, “About 5,000 people are expected to gather. Today’s goal is to proceed well without any unexpected accidents or crisis situations.“
In addition, an official from the emergency medical center said, “We distributed ambulances and support vehicles in anticipation of a large crowd due to global star Jin’s enlistment. We are preparing in many ways in preparation for unexpected situations.“
Besides, fans wearing purple costumes symbolizing ARMY (BTS’ fandom) were also found in nearby cafes and near the recruit training center, suggesting the heat of the site.
Meanwhile, Jin is the first BTS member to join the army. In October, the agency Big Hit Music announced Jin’s enlistment and revealed, “Other members plan to carry out their military service sequentially based on their own individual plans.“
